Obituary of Louis Franklin Keys

Louis (Lou) Franklin Keys Louis (Lou) Franklin Keys, fifty-six years old, passed away peacefully at his home in Lacey on July 21, 2009, surrounded by his family. Lou was born to Eula and Billy Keys in Hornersville, Missouri on June 11, 1953, and grew up in Forks, Washington. After graduating from high school, he moved to Ellensburg, Washington where he attended and graduated from Central Washington State University in 1977 with a bachelor's degree in Sociology. Lou was employed by the Department of Social and Health Services where he served twenty-five years as a Security Supervisor for Green Hill School. He was a devoted father to his two children, Shera and Brad Keys. Lou also adored his grandchildren, Aleah and Nathaniel, and enjoyed spending time with his pug dogs and cat, gardening, and reading a good science fiction book. In addition to his children and grandchildren, survivors include his mother, Eula Keys and brother, Kevin Keys both of Port Angeles. Lou will be dearly missed by his family, extended family and friends. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
