Obituary of Ann L. Kenstowicz

Ann L. Kenstowicz Ann, age 95, passed away July 29, 2011, in Olympia, Washington. She was born June 2, 1916, in Chicago, Illinois, to John and Helen (Zur) Hubert. She graduated from business school in Chicago, and married Albin John Kenstowicz on August 2, 1941, also in Chicago, where they lived until 1954. Ann was a homemaker and lifelong Catholic. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Olympia (1980-2011), Church of the Resurrection in Sunnyvale, California (1962-1979), and Holy Trinity in Westmont, Illinois (1954-1962). She volunteered with the Salvation Army, helping to serve meals for the hungry. She also handmade rosaries for the poor. Ann had a lively, bubbly personality. She was a great conversationalist and was excellent at bringing out the best in others. Ann is survived by sons, Michael Kenstowicz of Cambridge, Massachusetts, Joseph Kenstowicz of Prunedale, California, John Kenstowicz of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Thomas Kenstowicz of Olympia, Washington; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Albin, who passed away June 22, 1997; and her parents. The family suggests that those wishing to make donations in Ann’s honor consider the Salesians Catholic Charity, The Salvation Army, or Meals on Wheels.
