Obituary of Evelyn Crystal Keister

Evelyn Crystal Keister Evelyn, age 88, passed away of natural causes December 5, 2010, in Tumwater, Washington. She was born October 29, 1922, in Havre, Montana, to John Edward Hoveland and Josephine Reune, and graduated from Havre High School. Evelyn joined the Navy in 1943 and was stationed at U.S. Naval Air Station Alameda in California. On March 26, 1944, she married Harry Joseph Keister. She was a homemaker, great cook, and loved being with her family, bowling and gambling. From 1965 to 1975, she worked at a medical clinic in Tacoma. She lived in Tacoma from 1950 to 2004, and spent her final two years at Olympics West Retirement Inn in Tumwater. Evelyn was a wonderful wife and loving mother. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her son Gary of Olympia, WA; three grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Harry, who passed away June 8, 2008.
