Linda Carol (Hamilton) Karr
Linda Karr, 62, passed away May 18, 2011, in Longview, WA. She was born August 15, 1948, to Stanley and Velva E. Hamilton in Aberdeen, WA. She was raised in Quinalt, WA, where she graduated from high school, and then went to beauty school in Aberdeen, WA.
She married Robert L. Karr on May 14, 1983, in Onalaska, WA. Over the years, Linda worked in a crab cannery in Alaska, was assistant manager of a grocery and liquor store in Alaska, graphics designer for The Chronicle in Chehalis, sales clerk at J.C. Penny in Longview, and was also in the antique and collectible resale business.
Linda was a loving, personable and caring person who was a perfectionist at heart. She loved craft work, especially handmade greeting cards. She had a passion for flower gardening and was known as “Rain Gardener” on her website/blog: http://gardeningbytrialanderror.blogspot.com.
She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Karr; stepsons, Robert A. Karr and Michael A. Karr; daughter, Yvette R. Mosley; brothers, Robert Hamilton and wife Lupe, Steven Hamilton and wife Deanna; sister, Deborah S. Nissen; mother, Velva Hamilton; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Linda was preceded in death by her father, Stan Hamilton; stepdaughter, Misty Hibberd; granddaughter, Skylar Ricebeck.
Memorial donations may be made to Longview Community Hospice or Jackson Prairie Church Children's Program.
