Obituary of Cecil W. Jordan

Cecil W. Jordan Cecil W. Jordan, 77, of Olympia, died June 9, 2007. He was born September 13, 1929 in Bickleton, Washington to Marvin and Treva (Bandy) Jordan. He served in the United States Army Signal Corps during the Korean War and received the Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, Army Occupation of Japan Medal, and Unit Merit Commendation. Mr. Jordan’s interests included music, dancing, bowling, and reading. He held memberships in the VFW, Eagles, Elks and Moose lodges, and the American Legion. He is survived by his son, John Jordan of Tumwater and daughter, Lori Gibbs of Lebanon, Tennessee; also five grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren Mr. Jordan was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Marvin and Robert and four sisters, Irene Scott, Uldene Wilcox, Lillian Sherry, and Leona Green. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, June 14, 2007 at the Masonic Center, 521 North Street, NE, Tumwater.
