I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of Johnny, as we called him. I went to school with Johnny. I can't remember what grade he joined Garfield for sure, but it seems it was around 1954-55. I always liked Johnny and over the years went thru periods where I wouldn't see him for years and then I'd see him alot. He always had a smile and something pleasant to say. His laughter always brightened the day. He was a good man and will be missed by many. Wishing the best of everything to his family.

John was an absolute PLEASURE to work with while he was getting building permits at Thurston County & the City of Tumwater. We were just saying a few weeks ago how we had missed his visits lately. We were extremely sad to hear of his passing, but we will hold fond memories of the times we DID share with him. When my husband & I moved into our new home, John gave us a housewarming gift...and with that, we bought a beautiful tree for our front yard. It turns the most vivid of colors this time of year, and with each autumn it will be a wonderful reminder of the beautiful person that John was. He spoke of his family EVERY time he came in for a permit. He had wonderful stories! I know you all meant the world to him. He will definitely be missed by all that knew him.
