Obituary of Judy Jolly

Judy “Jannelle” Jolly a loving mother, understanding friend and creative being passed away, Sat. Aug. 19, 2006 from natural causes complicated from a rare low-sodium disorder: hyponatremia. Born in Oakland, CA, Jan. 25, 1947 to John and Shirley Jolly she lived many places and made her way to Washington State in 1979 with her only child, daughter, Terra J. Jolly from Minneapolis, MN to Port Townsend. She considered Port Townsend home, but moved to Olympia for the last 4 years of her life to be close to her daughter, and for a last attempt at college at Evergreen State College. Jannelle’s strong spiritual connection has guided her on this journey, and her creative spirit continues to teach love. As a potter, painter, master gardener, plant rescuer and community minded woman she loved working with youth and brought out the creative healing nature in all of us. She is loved dearly and missed. A memorial service in her honor will be held at the Unity Church of Olympia, 1335 Fern St. SW in Olympia on Thursday, Aug. 31st at 10:00 a.m. Also a celebration of her life and potluck will be held in Port Townsend at the North Beach Shelter on Sat., Sept. 9 at 3:00 p.m.
