Obituary of Sharlene A. Johnson

Sharlene A. Johnson, a resident of Rochester since 1978, died at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia on Wednesday, May 16, 2007. She was born March 15, 1944 in Minot, North Dakota to Edward and Beulah (Thorpe) Tollefsrud. On September 26, 1960 she married Dennis D. Johnson in Sidney, Montana. He survives her at the family home. The couple made their home in Centralia from 1963-1978. Sharlene had worked as a school bus driver for the Centralia School District for 10 years and had also worked for the Hospital and Nursing Homes in the Chehalis area. She enjoyed traveling and camping trips and was a member of the Evergreen Christian Community in Olympia. In addition to her husband, survivors include siblings, Ruth (Lynn) Bryans of North Dakota, Joyce Bryans of North Dakota, Charles (Carol) Tollefsrud of Minnesota and Beverly Lucas of Montana; children, Dennette and Russ O’Brien of Olympia, Mike Johnson of Rochester and Valerie and Randy Willis of Rochester; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. A memorial to celebrate Sharlene’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, May 24, 2007 at Evergreen Christian Community, 1000 Black Lake Blvd., Olympia, WA.
