Obituary of Esther Claudia Waddle Johnson

Esther Claudia Waddle Johnson Esther Waddle Johnson, 93, lifelong resident of Olympia, Washington, passed away on May 22, 2010 at Mother Joseph Health and Rehabilitation Center in Olympia. Esther was born on January 27, 1917 in Olympia to Clarence R. and Rachel (Peele) Waddle. She was married July 4, 1940 to Donald S. Johnson. He died in January of 1991. She and her husband lived in San Jose, California from 1956 to 1969. Esther had worked as a Theater Usher, a clerk at Woolworths, a dental assistant and a companion care giver. She enjoyed sewing and was a member of the Junior Women’s Club. Survivors include two sons, Donald T. Johnson, Loudon, Tennessee and Craig M. Johnson of San Jose, California; one brother, Howard M. Waddle of Olympia; also three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Donnie and Dick Ar; also a sister, Frances.
