Obituary of Dennis D. Johnson

Dennis D. Johnson Dennis D. Johnson, 64, a 25 year resident of Rochester, died Friday, February 15, 2008 at his home. He was born May 3, 1943 in Powers Lake, North Dakota to Oscar D. and Mildred A. (Barga) Johnson. On September 26, 1960 in Sydney, Montana, Dennis married Sharlene Tollefsrud. She preceded him in death in May 2007. He was an auto mechanic for Capitol Chevrolet for about 27 years. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, working on cars, camping, traveling, spending time with his family and his dog, Doogie. Dennis is survived by son, Michael, of Minnesota; daughters, Dennette O’Brien (Russell) of Olympia, Washington and Valerie Willis (Randy) of Rochester, Washington; four sisters, Sandi Kenyon of Minnesota, Arlene Walhaug of North Dakota, Bonnie Walhaug of North Dakota, Brenda Stowe of Minnesota; mother, Mildred Hermanson of North Dakota; also nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, February 28, 2008 at Evergreen Christian Center, 1000 Black Lake Blvd, SE, Olympia.
