Obituary of Diane Sue Hoefle

Diane Sue Hoefle Diane Sue Hoefle, a resident of Olympia for the past 22 years, passed away on February 10th. Diane was born on September 28th 1952 in Easton, PA. She was raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan where she excelled in academics, figure skating, and the violin. Diane graduated from Hope College with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. For the past 22 years Diane was involved in community service in the Olympia area. She served in the American Legion Auxiliary, the Olympia school system, the Literary Network, the Refugee and Immigrant Service Center, the Olympia AIDS Task Force, and the Unitarian Universalist Church. Diane was a political activist for a variety of causes, including animal rights and health care reform. She was never afraid to speak out and fight for what she believed in. She is survived by her beloved son, Andrew Peck, a student at the University of Washington; her parents Milt and Ann Hoefle; her brothers Brian and Gary; her sisters Sheryl and Pat; her niece and nephew Jennifer and Scott; and many friends. A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held 2:00 p.m., March 1, 2008 at the Masonic Center, 455 North St. SE, Tumwater with reception following.
