Obituary of James Devon Hill

James Devon Hill James Devon Hill, born 1 August 1930 in Medaryville, Indiana, passed peacefully away on 5 October 2006 in Olympia, Washington. Our Father was a retired conductor on the Burlington Northern Railroad and was based out of Wishram, Washington. He served faithfully in the US Navy for 6 years and he was very proud to have participated in the Invasion of Inchon during the Korean War. He was a Past Governor of The Dalles Moose Lodge and had been a member of the Moose Lodge for 28 years. He was a member of The Dalles Eagles Lodge for 47 years and was a Life Member of the Elks at Mt Adams “The Birthday Lodge #1868” in White Salmon. He joins our Mother Darlene in heavens eternal kingdom. We mourn his passing, but as his children, Micheal Hill, Tammy Gerry (Mark), and Devona Hill, we celebrate his life. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kristopher Gerry, Bryan Gerry, Matthew Hill, Nathan Detamore and Joshua Detamore. Graveside services will be held at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in The Dalles Oregon on 13 October 2006 at 1:00 p.m.
