Obituary of Elizabeth Henry

None Elizabeth Henry died peacefully on February 17, 2008 at Mother Joseph’s Care Center, of natural causes. She was born, Elizabeth Reilly on January 2, 1922 in Broken Bow, Nebraska to Jess and Carrie Reilly. She grew up on a farm where her father, Jess was a carpenter and farmer and her mother, Carrie was a stay at home mom.Elizabeth married David Caparoon around 1945. (Bud) Caparoon was a truck driver, so they lived in various places in Oregon and California. Elizabeth worked odd jobs, mostly in restaurants. She and Bud had three children: Ronald and Linda were born in California. Then they moved to Olympia, Washington around 1951. In 1952 Michael was born in Shelton, Washington. David (Bud) and Elizabeth divorced around 1955. Elizabeth met Charlie Henry and they were married in 1978. After a short time in Olympia, they moved to Juneau, Alaska where they lived for 20 years. They ran a Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant and eventually branched out to Sitka. For a time they ran both restaurants but ended up selling the franchise to both, and opened their own place called Mrs. Henry’s Fast Foods. Elizabeth loved her job and needed to keep busy. Her work consumed most of her time. She was happiest at this time in her life. She loved Alaska and had many close friends. She also loved her little Pomeranian, named Pixy. She also lived 10 years in Kingman, Arizona prior to moving back to Olympia with her husband Charles. They lived at the Boardwalk in down town Olympia, until she was placed in Mother Joseph’s Care Center. Elizabeth is survived by her children, Ronald Caparoon of Centralia, Linda Eke of Olympia, and Michael Caparoon of Alaska; 8 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Henry, her mother and father, Jess and Carrie Reilly, a brother Raymond Reilly, and a nephew Michael Reilly.
