Obituary of Ingeborg Haugstul

Ingeborg Haugstul, 98, passed away at home in Lacey, early Thursday morning, August 3, 2006. Ingeborg was born in Hickory Township, Minnesota on February 22, 1908 to Nils Olaf and Brita (Ersson) Risen. She attended Fosston High School and later married Edgar Haugstul on November 9, 1930. In 1989 Ingeborg moved to Olympia, Washington.During her life as a homemaker, wife, and mother, Ingeborg enjoyed gardening, quilting, cooking and baking, reading, watching the Mariners and traveling. She also served as a member and past president of Ladies Aid at Hope Lutheran Church in Fosston; member and past president of Athenian Club, Fosston. Member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church of Olympia, Washington and Friendly Stitchers. Ingeborg is survived by her son James and wife Ionne Haugstal of Fosston, Minnesota; Daughter Dorothy and husband Dave Bjornson of Olympia, Washington. She was preceeded in death by her husband Edgar and 2 brothers Nels Risen and Evert Risen and sisters Anna, Mabel and Esther. Memorial donations may be made in Ingeborg's name to the Gloria Dei Lutheran Building Fund.
