Obituary of Charlotte Ann Harris

Charlotte (King) Harris Charlotte, born December 23, 1948 to Herbert and Esther King in Tacoma, Washington, passed away April 16, 2012 peacefully at her residence in Olympia, Washington, following a long battle with illnesses. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Charlotte enjoyed antiquing, horses, riding quads, yard work, and spending time with her family. Charlotte is survived by her husband, Victor Harris; daughter, Tammy (Bryan) Bailey; stepson, Jason (Shawn) Harris; stepdaughter, Sloan Clack; granddaughters, Morgan, Kate, Jordan, Kayce and Helen; sisters, Sally (Tom) Little, Judy (Jim) Harris, Cindy (Steve) de Vries, and Beverly (Fred) Zook; brothers, Larry (Virginia) King and Gary (Jeanie) King; five grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Darlene Metzener. A special mention goes to nephews, Beau de Vries, Clinton Harris, and Justin Harris, and son-in-law Bryan Bailey who were loved greatly and who held a special place in Charlotte’s heart. Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 21, 2012, 1:00 p.m., Grand Mound Cemetery. Pallbearers include Jason Harris (stepson), Bryan Bailey (son-in-law), Beau de Vries (nephew), Clinton Harris (nephew), Justin Harris (nephew), and Dallas Harris (cousin). A celebration of life reception at Bryan and Tammy Bailey’s home will follow the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Charlotte to a women’s shelter of your choice.
