Dick later attended UCLA where he received his master’s degree in public health administration. His career centered around public health. He retired in 2007 after 27 years with Washington DSHS. Church and family were most important in Dick’s life. He and Linda raised five children: Leslie Pearsall (Bob), Katie, Rick (Jennifer), Jessica Little (David) and Philip. He was a loving father and husband and a doting grandfather to his eight grandchildren. Dick was a talented, lifelong golfer, runner and avid sports fan. He enjoyed playing clarinet.
