Obituary of Shirley Ann Haider

Visitation from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm before the service. Shirley Ann (Sally) Haider Shirley, 68, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away March 23, 2012 peacefully at her home after a battle with lung cancer, with family and friends at her side. She was born Feb 14, 1944 to Harry and Helen Larson in Olympia WA. As a result of an accident in 1981 Sally was left a paraplegic and went through numerous surgeries and struggled with many years of pain. With all of these struggles she endured she kept her spirits up with an optimistic outlook on life and maintained a great sense of humor. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, sewing, crafts, camping, trips to the ocean clam digging, painting, jigsaw puzzles, scrabble and playing cards. One of her favorite things was spending time with her family. Sally is survived by her husband Ted of Lacey, children Jeff Haider (Lisa) of Puyallup, Gayle Lard of Lacey, Deanna Lang of Lacey, Vince Haider (Cindy) of Olympia; grandchildren Jacob, Kevin, Jessica, Kaylee, Tristan and Rylan; siblings Ed Larson (Eileen) of Olympia; John Larson (Carol) of Rochester; Marilyn Kriener (Bill) of Olympia, Harvey Larson (Patti) of Chehalis and Diane Brooks of Chehalis; many nieces and nephews. She will be lovingly missed by all she touched with her kindness and great spirit. Memorial Donations may be made to your favorite charity.
