Margo Gurley

Obituary of Margo D. Gurley

Margo D. Gurley Margo, 63, our beautiful wife, mother and nana, went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 18, 2011 at home, surrounded by her family. Margo was born on March 15, 1948 in Chehalis to Paul and Violet Ratkie. She graduated from PeEll High School in 1966 and married the love of her life, Aubrey, in Doty, Washington on December 7, 1968. She spent most of her life as a wife and homemaker. When the girls were grown, she worked at Christmas Forest and B & T Industrial Supply. They lived in PeEll, Napavine, Curtis and Adna, moving to Rochester after the loss of their home during the floods of 2007. Margo loved to play the piano and sing, crochet, go to the beach, cook, and spend time with her family and beloved grandchildren. Her love, friendship, generous heart, and sense of humor will be dearly missed. She is survived by her husband, Aubrey of Rochester; daughters, Traci Gurley of Olympia, Brandi (Frank) Hoffman of Eatonville, and Cori (Joe) Reid of Napavine; grandchildren, Samantha and Mason Puleo, and Cailee and Morgan Reid; sisters, Patrisha (Dean) Morton of Chehalis, Louise (Ken) Osborne of Renton; brother, Roman (Belinda) Ratkie of Centralia, brother-in-law, Glen Barr of Curtis; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Pauline Barr; and nephew Chet Morton. We would like to express our deepest appreciation to the University of Washington Kidney Transplant Team, Dr. Seth Thaler, Dr. Lana Bur and their staff, and St. Peter Hospital for their incredible care and support.
