Obituary of Ross D. Greer

Ross D. Greer passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family on September 8, 2007. His body may have lost its battle with cancer, but not his heart and spirit. Ross was born July 11, 1949 in Lewiston, ID to Charles and Virginia Greer. After graduating from Pasco High School, he joined the Navy and served in Viet Nam. He joined the Iron Workers Union Local # 14 from which he retired in 1986, moving on to a career in computer management. He was also a life member of Benton Lodge #277 Ross had many interests, a passion for horticulture and the outdoors, reading and a love of many kinds of music. He is preceded in death by his parents and Peggy, his wife of 22 years. Survivors include daughter Dana Chase, son Douglas Greer, brothers Les and Charles Greer, and grandchildren Torey Chase and Douglas Greer Jr. Per Ross’ request, there will be no traditional service. Please join us in a gathering to celebrate his life on Saturday, September 22, 2007 at an open house from 12 - 4. The open house will be at the Flannery home at 5614 W 15th Ave. in Kennewick. Call 737-8764 for directions or information. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local Hospice Center.
