Obituary of Ida Gratzer

Ida Gratzer Ida Graztzer, age 86, passed away December 13, 2010, in Olympia, Washington. She was born March 31, 1924, in Mandan, North Dakota, to Adam Moser and Rose Bradley (Matz). She attended Lincoln High School in Tacoma, and married Tom Gratzer on May 17, 1942, in Tacoma’s Visitation Church. She lived in Olympia for 46 years. Ida worked for the Washington State Departments of Education and Revenue beginning in 1968 through her retirement in 1989. Ida loved family activities and gardening; she was a long-time member of the Tacoma Garden Club. She also was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lacey. Ida is survived by her husband Thomas E. Gratzer, Olympia; son Thomas W. Gratzer, Gig Harbor, WA; daughters Wanda Cahill and Wendy Jones, both of Olympia; brothers Gary Bradley, Casa Grande, AZ, and Richard Bradley, McLean, VA; and sisters Sylvia Blackman, Princeton, NJ, and Laverne Hycner, Huntington Beach, CA; 2 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
