None BILLIE JEAN ROTTER GOWANS Billie Jean Rotter was born on November 7, 1927, at the Eatonville Hospital in Eatonville, Washington to Carl and Veora Rotter, their first child. Her survivors include her husband of the past 44 years, Dave Gowans, with whom she spent 24 years in Redding with the sunshine, redwood trees, fruit trees and the gold courses. She had two sons by previous marriage, Jamison and his wife Lorraine Van Eaton, and his brother Don Van Eaton. The grandchildren include Kelly Van Eaton, Miranda and her husband Matt Dolch, Bo Van Eaton, Darcy and her husband Clint Goins. Great-grandchildren are Omar Van Eaton, Ginger and Avery Goins. She will be missed by Dave’s children, Tessa Gowans, Ed Gowans, Pam and her husband Michael McCauley. Great-grandchildren are Shelley Chamberlin, Gabrial, Jonah, Rafael, Micaela and Hasanah. Billie also leaves a sister Karen and her husband Dave Manning and a brother Carl and his wife Valerie Rotter, along with many nieces and nephews. Billie worked in the lumber industry for 45 years and well known in California and other west coast markets, retiring in 1991 from her job as Sales Manager of a Siller Bros Mill in Anderson, California. She passed away peacefully on December 2, 2011 in Olympia, Washington. Her cremated remains will be kept by her husband, Dave, for the time being. Please sign the guestbook and leave condolences
