Obituary of Carroll Gooch

Carroll "Wayne" Gooch Wayne passed away on May 14, 2012 at home in Rochester, Washington, at the age of 67. He was born October 21, 1944 to Herman Carroll “Buck” and Agnes (Brown) Gooch in Evanston, Wyoming. Wayne served in the U.S. Army Airborne. He was a fireman/EMT and a roofer, in New Mexico. He moved to Seattle, Washington to attend Puget Sound College of the Bible and was a youth pastor at Normandy Christian Church in Seattle. He was a salesman for Craftmatic beds and he worked for a company that provided solar energy options. He owned a roofing and fencing company in Ballard. He worked for a towing company, and owned an ATM cash machine business. He married Carol Lee Buck on September 21, 1984. He loved fishing, golf, billiards, and bible study. He was a member of Crossroads Foursquare Church in Rochester, Washington. Wayne is survived by his wife, Carol; sons, Kent and Bryan; daughters, Rachanda, Rhonda, Kathryn, Dawn, Caryl and Deidre; brothers, Paul, Tom, David and Kenneth; sisters, Ella Mae and Carole; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday June 8, 2012 at Tahoma National Cemetery, 18600 SE 240th Street, Kent, Washington 98042. A reception will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Crossroads Foursquare Church, 9231 183rd Avenue SW, Rochester, WA 98579. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
