Obituary of Petronilo Gonzalez

Petronilo “Pete” Gonzalez May 30, 1922 – September 26, 2011 Surrounded by his loving family, Pete succumbed to lung cancer at his home in Olympia, WA. Raised in central Mexico, Pete came to the Pacific NW in the 1950’s and lived the American dream. He and Eleanore, his wife of 54 years who preceded him in death, raised their children in West Seattle. Pete’s greatest strength was his work ethic, which he demonstrated in the farming, fishery, and saw mill industries. He retired from OB Williams in 1987. He is survived by and will be greatly missed by his four children: Yolanda Coombs (Alaska), Lenore Miller (Olympia), Mario Gonzalez (Seattle) and Carmen Ragghianti (Seattle); and five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
