Obituary of Virginia T. Gates

Virginia T. “Ginny” Gates Born in Menominee, Michigan, Ginny passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2011, in her home in Olympia, Washington, at the age of 80. Ginny loved her family and friends, and will be missed by many whose lives she touched. She is survived by her brother, Bob Taylor; sons, David, John and Bill Odegaard; and daughter, Deborah Craydon. Ginny loved reading, gardening, and the occasional conversations about politics. She lived a full life, working for the state in various administrative positions, helping to get the Providence St. Peter Hospital Auxiliary off the ground, being a loving wife, great mother, and friend to many in the communities where she lived. Ginny was a true believer in living life the way she wanted to, something she did each and every day. The family will be having a private remembrance in her honor. They would greatly appreciate any memories you would like to post in the Guestbook below.
