Obituary of Dorothy J. Gassin

Dorothy J. (Keesee) Gassin Dorothy Gassin, 78, passed away November 25, 2011 in Olympia, Washington after a long battle with heart disease. She was born July 26, 1933 to Elbert and Fern (Reynoldson) Keesee in Glennoma, Washington. The family later settled into the Centralia area where Dorothy attended school. After graduation, Dorothy met the love of her life, Joe E. Gassin and married him on July 1, 1950. They went on to have eight beautiful children, and Dorothy enjoyed being a homemaker, loving and dedicated mother and wife. She and Joe enjoyed 61 wonderful years together, during which time they watched their children grow and bless them with 27 grandchildren, many great and great-great grandchildren. When Dorothy had some free time, she enjoyed hobbies such as sewing, crocheting, arranging flowers, drawing, painting and bowling. She was also a proud member of the Good Sam Club for many years. Dorothy is survived by her husband, Joe Gassin; sons, Edward Gassin, Joe Edward Gassin Jr., Alden Gassin, and Steven Gassin; daughters, Terri Blacksnake, Sandy Gassin, and Suzanne Carroll; brothers, Pete Keesee and Bobbie Keesee; sisters, Joyce Kludt, JoAnne Sandell, Patricia Spaeth, and Pamela Pariseau.
