Obituary of Mary Beverly Forbes

Mary Beverly Forbes Beverly has gone to be with our Lord. Born November 14, 1933, she passed away in Lacey, Washington with family by her side. She leaves behind her loving husband of 49 years, Marlin “Tony” Forbes and three daughters and their families, Sam and Denise DiDomenico, Britt and Lori Cardwell, and Tom and Teresa Woodard. She had five grandchildren that dearly loved her and who cherish the special moments with Grandma; Drew, Brittany and Casey Cardwell and Felicia and Megan Woodard. She also leaves behind her brother, Clyde Jones and his wife Janice and several nieces and nephews. Unbeknownst to them, both Bev and Tony moved to Oregon the same year, as teenagers. Bev graduated from Marcola High School then attended the University of Oregon in Eugene, graduating with a history degree and teaching degree. She then moved to Coos Bay for her first teaching assignment, there she met and married her love. Soon after, they started there family and transferred to Cottage Grove, Oregon. Bev continued to teach history, art and English for 26 years. After retiring, they moved to Chewelah, Washington and spent winters in Casa Grande, Arizona. She was blessed with wonderful friends in both communities who were supportive during her illness. They are very dear to both Tony and Bev. Together, they traveled, golfed and visited with friends. She was an avid artist, enjoying drawing and painting. We deeply mourn our loss, knowing that we have been truly blessed by her presence in our lives, she will live on in our hearts forever and a joyous day it will be when we cross paths in heaven. At Bev’s request, there will be no services.
