Obituary of Elizabeth Anne Evans

None Elizabeth Anne Evans "Betty Anne", 87, passed away at the Panorama Convalescenter & Rehabilitation Center, in Lacey, on February 25, 2012, She was born on May 20, 1924 in Seattle, Washington. She attended St. John's church school and Holy Names Academy. At age 17 she entered the convent in Everett,Washington. She became a nursing Nun. She received a BS degree at a college in Minnesota and served as a nurse and administrator at a number of hospitals, including Aberdeen and Chehalis. After serving many years she left the religious order and continued her nursing career in Oakland California and Valley General Hospital in Renton. Betty Anne retired in 1975. Shortly before her retirement she was introduced to widower Robert D Evans by mutual friends. They fell in love and were married on August 28, 1975. She had become the stepmother of his 3 teenaged sons! Later, after Bob's retirement, they traveled extensively and also lived in Yuma, Arizona, and Milpitas, California. In 1989 they became permanent residents in Panorama. Later she became ill with dementia and moved to Garden Courte Memory Care Community in 2007. She has lived in the Panorama Convalescent and Rehabiltation during the past 3 years. She is survived by her husband, three stepsons, a brother, and nieces and nephews. Betty Anne's funeral mass will be on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 9:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Church in Lacey. A reception at the church will follow.
