Obituary of Emma Lou Eslick

No visitation Emma Lou (Needham) Eslick, 74, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on July 24, 2007 after a long illness. She will be missed dearly and always in our hearts. Emma was born April 20, 1933 in Rainier, Washington. She graduated from Rainier High School. On June 26, 1963, in Mason County, she married Donald L. Eslick, Sr. who survives. She was proud to be a mother and wife. Among her hobbies and interests were gardening, reading, sewing, puzzles, camping at Westport and spending time with family and friends. Emma also raised numerous nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Evangelist Worship Center in Tumwater. Including her husband, Donald, Emma is survived by three sons, J. Bruce Diamond (Katy) of Onalaska, Robin Diamond (Joni) of Sealey Lake, Montana, and Don Eslick, Jr. of Olympia; six daughters, Judy Wood of Tenino, Becky Stidhim (Gary) of Winlock, Virginnia Kirkley of Shelton, Penny Carter (Larry) of Sealey Lake, Montana, Cindy Thompson (Leonard) of Yakima, and Lynn Turner (Mike) of Olympia; four sisters, Rosemarie Knight, Jane Hatcher, Barbara Shanks, and Laura Allen; also 18 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Emma was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Dan, Ben, Gene, and William Needham and her sister, Betty Jo Davis. A memorial table will be set up in her honor at the family reunion, which will be held at The Quarry House in Tenino Park from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Saturday, August 4, 2007.
