Obituary of Naomi Edwards

None Naomi Ruth Edwards 85, long time resident of Rochester, WA died March 14, 2012 after a brief illness. Naomi had a full life. She met, and married the man of her dreams when she was 19 years old, and served as a Navy wife for 63 more fun filled years. In those 63 years, Naomi not only traveled the world, but also raised 5 children, often on her own while her husband was out to sea. Naomi taught herself to sew and became quite an accomplished seamstress. She loved making clothes for "Barbie" dolls. Naomi was also a very talented artist. She loved to paint anything from rocks, to walls and everything in between. In Naomi's younger years, she was a roller skating queen. Not even broken bones could slow her down. Naomi loved her family. She is survived by two sisters, Loretta and Jean; Son, Ken Edwards; Daughters Patty Clark, Ruth Harper, Martha Edwards, Liz (Martin) Deffendall ; Grandchildren, Shawn (Robin) Clark, David (Shannon) Clark, Melyssa (Peter) Carter, Monique (Brett) Tarkington, Andrew Steen, Anthony Steen, Syreena Edwards; 11 Great Grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. ,/p> Naomi was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Charles and Richard Young; Husband, George Edwards (2007); Daughter, Peggy Fox (2011); Son-In-Law, Ralph Harper (2008); and Daughter-In-Law, Tamara Edwards (2012) Please sign the guest register below.
