Obituary of Patrick J. Dotson

Patrick James Dotson Husband, father and friend Patrick J. Dotson passed away, Tuesday, February 24th, 2009 in Olympia. Pat was born September 18, 1933 in Boise, Idaho to Jacob & Katherine Dotson. Pat lived in Olympia area for more than 35 years. He was raised in Laramie, Wyoming where he graduated from University Prep High School in 1951 and attended the University of Wyoming. Pat married Marilyn "Jo" Loughary, in Laramie on November 19, 1955. He served in the United States Navy as an SK 2 during the Korean War. After the military Pat worked in Retail Management, followed by Route Sales with Langendorf Bakery. Pat enjoyed time with Jo in their RV each year during the Ellensburg Rodeo; followed by a week in Lake Chelan with their close friends. He was a big Seahawk fan. He was never one to miss a good western, but most of all he cherished his time with his wife and kids. Pat is survived by his wife Jo of 53 years, 4 daughters, Debbie Dotson, Patti Ertel (Lance), Tami Armstrong (Richard), Melisa Berntson and one son, Scot Dotson, a brother, Dave Dotson of Denver, Colorado, 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
