Obituary of Gerrald Dillard

Gerrald James Dillard Gerrald (Jerry), 81, died April 9, 2009 in Olympia, Wa. He was born in Tioka, LA and graduated from Dry Prong, LA in 1945. He served as a financial accounting specialist in the U. S. Army from 1946-1955. He attended Everett Community college in 1967 transferring to Tacoma Community in 1968. He later became a Real and Personal Property Valuation Tech. He later attended Oregon State, becoming an Industrial Appraisal. Went on to attend National Appraisal College in Reno, NV training in Judicial hearings in 1981. He worked for the Washington State Dept. of Revenue as Appraiser IV from 1967 to 1972. In 1972 until his retirement, he worked for the State Board of Tax Appeals as Senior Administrative Law Judge. He was a member of the National Assoc. and the Washington State Assoc. of Administrative Law Judges. Jerry belonged to the Olympia Yacht Club as well as Capitol Cruising Club. His love was both boating and Bridge. He is survived by his wife Patty Dillard; his daughters Loni cooper, Heidi Dillard, Bobbie-Lou Bauer and Terre-Lyn Hancuff. He was predeceased by daughter Dorci Dillard. After retirement, Jerry and Patty lived in Scottsdale, AZ for six months of the year until 2001. Jerry was a Christian being baptized in the Olympia First Baptist Church with his three grandchildren.
