Dear Charles, Michelle, and Tyler,
I was so saddened to hear of the loss of your beautiful wife and mother. She touched my heart in a way that no one ever will again. I met her when I went to work at UCAN, and we instantly "clicked". She was very special, and despite this terrible loss, I am taking comfort in the fact that she is now in a better place...where she will always be young, she will always be beautiful, she is no longer in pain, and is waiting with open arms to greet us all when our time comes. Take care of each other, love each other, and keep Michele's love for all of you warm in your hearts. Love, Ali

I wished I would of talked today, but so many did and now I can. Michele has come to my salon for about 8 years. Sitting in my chair gave her a safe place to sit and talk. Listening today to the different people in her life it brought back alot of memories. I remember her telling me about the young girl that approached her after talking to a school, I have listened to many stories of her beloved friend at the apartment complex her family used to live at. I heard some sister stories, husband, and kid stories. I know how she truely felt about all of you in her life. She always wanted to do more for you all. She loved you all more that life itself. I heard today how you all knew her to always be more concerned about others than herself. In one of my visits to the hospital, she said to me that she needed to go home, there was surely someone else who needed the bed more than her. I felt so honored to have had the oppurtunity to know such a couragous magical women. You say she went to a better place, I can't think of a better place than here with her kids, and I know that she will live forever in them. Thank you Tyler and Michelle for being as brave as you have been thus far. Keep up the good work guys. I love you.

Dear Michele and Tyler,
I never had the privilege of knowing your mom, and from all that I hear of the lives she has touched, I consider this to be my loss. I do know what an amazing and brave daughter she has raised, and you both must have made her so proud. I am very sorry for your loss and you will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Michele was truly the most courageous person I have ever known. She had an integrity, an inner strength, that was a part of all of the roles in which I knew her; friend, colleague, client, and most notably, mother. She was an amazing mother, and Michele Jr. and Tyler, you made her so proud. You were so good to her and for her and I know you are carrying forth the best parts of her.

"Wishing to be friends" as Aristotle wrote, "is quick work, but friendship is a slowly ripening fruit." We are so fortunate to have had a shinning star such as Michele to make our lives so much richer.
Our deepest sympathy goes out to Charles, "little" Michele and Tyler. In your grief, know that your wife and mother was truly a leader in HIV/AIDS education and prevention. Take comfort in the fact that her words touched thousands of young people. She may have left us, but she will never be forgotten. She will be sorely missed.
