Obituary of Dorothy De Ste. Croix

Dorothy Mae De Ste. Croix died on Oct. 13, 2007 after a long struggle with emphysema. She was born in Aberdeen, WA on Sept. 12, 1927 to Paul and Ida Lindholm.She graduated from Aberdeen High School in 1945 and soon thereafter married Ben De Ste. Croix. In mid-life, she went back to school and graduated from the University of Puget Sound with a degree in Art Education, in 1967. She taught Art at Yelm Middle School for 21 yrs. and retired in 1989. Dot loved to travel. She saw many great works of art and made life-long friends, during her journeys to Europe, Mexico, Egypt and China. She is survived by her two daughters, Diane De Ste. Croix, and Barbara De Ste. Croix (Greg Morehouse), one son, Jim De Ste. Croix (Joann Cooper), two grandsons, Ryan Eastman and Sean Eastman, one granddaughter, Lacy De Ste. Croix Sutter, and former son-in-law and family friend, Mark Sutter. Plus, her long time companion, Richard Brock. Many heartfelt thanks to the staff at Puget Sound Health Care Facility, in Olympia, and the Franciscan Hospice House, in University Place, for their kind care.
