Obituary of Glen Owen Dahl

None Glen Owen Dahl, a resident of Thurston County since 1989, born on September 25, 1952 in Long Beach, California, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2006 at his home in Tumwater, WA. Glen grew up in and around the Bay area, graduating from Cupertino High School in Cupertino, California in 1970. He married Rosemary (Bento) Dahl on November 2, 1971. Together they enjoyed each other and their two sons, Bryon and Justin, traveling and spending time with their family and friends. He was an excellent and meticulous landscaper who took great pride in his yard. Glen especially loved incorporating water features into his landscapes. Many hours were spent enjoying the fruit of Glen’s labor. In 1979 Glen gained employment with Owens Corning Fiberglas in San Jose, CA. In 1989 he moved his family to Lacey, WA. He then worked at Nalley Foods of Tacoma from 1989-2002. In 2003, Shaw Industries of Algona hired him and he worked there until he was diagnosed with lung cancer in the fall of 2005. His wife Rosemary remembers Glen fondly as a generous, kind and loving man. The best years of Rosemary’s life were those spent with Glen. They were soul mates, life partners, traveling companions and friends since the age of 13. His wife Rosemary of 35 years, his two sons, Bryon and Justin, Bryon’s fiancée, Maria Chiechi, and Justin’s wife, Laura Dahl, survives Glen, as well as his four sisters; Pearl Look, Susan O’Connor, Connie Williams, and Candis Katzoff. Many cousins, nieces and nephews also survive him. The Dahl family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks for the love and support provided during Glen’s illness.
