Obituary of Harley Curry

Harley Gaylord Curry Harley Gaylord Curry of Yelm, was born on September 30, 1934 in Tacoma, Washington and passed away February 19, 2012 at St. Peter Hospital in Olympia. He graduated from Franklin High School in Seattle in 1952. He then served in the Air Force and obtained the rank of Corporal. He spent most of his civilian career in the communication field, retiring from Puget Sound Energy after 30 years. Harley, or Gaylord to many friends and family, is survived by his wife, Jeannette (Chadwick) Curry; children, Brenda Baker of Yelm, Alan Curry of Roy, and Deana (John) Taylor of Rainier; four grandchildren, Jessica Courneya, Doug Baker, Jr, Cassondra Taylor, and Danielle Taylor; as well as two great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Dianne Witty; brother, Dale (Verna) Curry; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceeded in death by his parents, Harley J. Curry and Evelyn (Gonia) Curry. Harley was an outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, camping, and boating. He also enjoyed wood working. He belonged to the Eagles, Elks, VFW, and Moose Clubs.
