Obituary of Jonnie Cummings

Jonnie Louise (Yonich) Cummings Jonnie Louise (Yonich) Cummings, 57, of Olympia, passed away on Sunday September 6, 2009 at her home after a short battle with cancer. Jonnie was born on December 3, 1951 to Betty Lou (Gamin) and John Yonich. She grew up in Aberdeen and graduated from Weatherwax High School in1970. On July 7, 1972 Jonnie married Jim Cummings, with whom she had four children. Jonnie worked as a dental assistant for 17 years, while raising her four children in the Olympia area. She enjoyed camping, music, the Seattle Mariners, and playing Skip-Bo. Her family and friends were most important in her life. Jonnie is survived by her beloved children, Joshua (Liz) of Olympia, Jason of Los Angeles, Jillian (Jared) of Tumwater, and Jacob (Sharon) of Tumwater; her siblings, Mike Yonich of Aberdeen, David Yonich of Tacoma, Tawney Gates of Bellingham, her sons Joe and Jesse, Cheri Yonich of Seattle, her daughter Sarah; two grandchildren, Sam and Adysen; her three best friends (BFFs), Mary B. Fisher, Billye Smith and Julie Antich. A memorial service will held at 11:00 am, Saturday, September 19, 2009 at Calvary Lutheran Church, 2515 Sumner Ave., Aberdeen. A celebration of life will follow for family and close friends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Smith, 1111 Thomas St., Aberdeen.
