So sorry to hear of Dean's passing!
I met Dean almost 30 years ago and became friends from a distance when he was living in Olympia/Lacey. We lost contact when he was up in Alaska fishing for awhile.
My condolences to his family and friends!
If his friend 'Willy' is still around, I'd love to chat and catch up.
My email is Murray.KevinB@gmail.com

I learned of Deans death a couple of months ago. I was so sad to hear. I met Dean years ago threw a mutual friend who had gone to school with Dean ( Trenda ). We became friends, hanging out occaisionally. He had a great smile, beautiful eyes and a huge heart.I had not seen Dean for some time and was unaware he had been ill. My prayers go out to Deans family

I will always remember the fun times I shared with Dean and Sally during my school days. Double dates to dances, football and basket ball games. Dean your sparkling blue eyes, beautiful smile and gentle soul will be greatly missed. You always saw the best in people and your kind words will be remembered. I know you will be looking down from Heaven and patiently waiting for all your friends to join you...when their journey on earth has ended. My prayers to your family.

Sometimes you meet people who etch a permanent place in your memory. I met Dean in early elementary school and I still have a picture of his face as a 2nd or 3rd grade boy, with a huge smile, gentle soul, and fun personality. Even the most recent time I saw him, his face lit up and it took me right back to our elementary school days. He hasn't left, he has just travelled ahead of us. Look for him on the smiles of those around you, in the personalities or little gestures that someone does...he will be there. Much love to his family.

We hadn't seen Dean for a few years, but my daughter and I happened to run into him at the Grocery store about 2 months ago. We played catch-up for about a half hour, and promised to get together soon. His eyes twinkled with love, his voice always carried a laugh, and his smile always brightened the room. Our prayers to his loved ones left behind.

I am so sorry to hear of Deans passing. Dean was a good friend of mine many years ago. We would often go fishing and just plan hanging out together. We never got into trouble..smirk. Dean and I lost touch with each other and I often thought of him and what he was up to. Just recently I begin looking for him. I was advised that he had passed away and felt terrible that our paths never crossed earlier. Dean was a dear friend. A kind guy that always lended a hand when needed. His smart ass smirk on his face always kept me wondering if he had one up on me. Rest in peace my friend. And someday we shall meet up again. Bless his family during this time of need.

My dear old friends, there are no words to express the sorrow I feel for your loss. Dean, Dan and Denny were an extension of the Powell family. They were an extension of our 2 boys. It was not unusual to find them in a sleeping bag on my living room floor or in the backyard. Whenever we ran into Dean, at the store or elsewhere, he always had his wonderful smile, and his dancing eyes sparkled as though he was just about to say or do something very funny. I am very sad to let one of 'my boys' go but I have been priveleged to share a part of his life and get to know & enjoy him. His star will shine forever.

My friends, I am very sorry for the loss of your son and brother. Nothing can really be said to ease your pain, but the happy memories of Dean will live forever in your hearts. Unfortunately, work beckons though I will hold you all in my heart. Dean is no longer in pain and has a perfect body once again!

What sad news. Dean had the best smile. My first memory of Dean was with my brother Dana. They were kids...Dean was very nice and full of laughter. I also remember Dan hanging with Dana too. About 15 years ago Dean topped a couple of trees on my property. There was that huge grin...a bit of a mischievious grin, I might add. My prayers are with him and his family.

Deans death was such a shock that I am still processing. However- (Dean smiled whenever I said that word) My heart goes out to you, Evelyn & Dennis, Dennis & Dan. I know that words aren't much of a comfort right now but I'm just letting you know that I am keeping you all in my thoughts & prayers. I thought the world of Dean and I am so glad that we became re-aquainted these last few months. He will forever hold a very special place in my heart.
