Obituary of Lloyd Joy Couch

None Lloyd Joy Couch Lloyd Joy Couch, 87, of Lacey, Washington and former 60-year resident of Portland, died Sunday, July 13, 2008 at St. Peter Hospital in Olympia. Mr. Couch was born March 24, 1921 in Viola, Idaho to Hazel (Bloodgood) and Joy Luther Couch. He had served in the 9th Infantry of the US Army during WWII. On May 24, 1944 in Winchester, England, he married the former Daphnie Clapper who survives. After the service he attended school in the Portland area and became a Certified Public Accountant. He worked for Portland General Electric. He was a member of the Oregon Society of CPA’s. His interests included playing cards, computers and golf. Survivors in addition to his wife include one son, Rodney Couch; a daughter, Beatrice Johnson; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Andrew and Steven and a daughter, Marjorie. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 17, 2008 at Willamette National Cemetery, 11800 SE Mt.
