Obituary of Georgiana F. Coryell

Georgiana Fossas Coryell Georgiana passed away on July 8, 2008 with her beloved husband, George C. Coryell, by her side. Georgiana was born in December 1920 and married George in September 1940. They enjoyed almost 68 wonderful years together. Georgiana was a special mother and mother-in-law to Julie and Terry Cheetham, George F. and Rosemary Coryell, and Evgeniki Myrtidiotissa (nee Christine Coryell). She relished her role as grandmother to Teresa Michelsen, Bradley Shanrock-Solberg and wife Gretchen, and Ryan Coryell. An only child, Georgiana felt blessed by a large extended family of nieces and nephews, their spouses and children. Georgiana is also survived by her cousin Gerald Dennis and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Donald and Alilsa Coryell. Daughter of George and Harriet Fossas, Georgiana graduated from Franklin High School and the University of Washington. In her career as academic advisor at the University of Washington, she guided many students in the College of Education and the School of Business toward successful completion of their degrees.
