1:30 p.m. Tues., Dec. 30, 2008 Masonic Center 455 North St. SE Tumwater Gary Cooke Gary Cooke, 50, died December 24, 2008. He was born January 3, 1958 in England. After graduating high school he attended college in England earning an AA. He then attended BYU Idaho receiving his AA in Health Sciences. Gary earned his BA in Liberal Arts from New York State University. He also attended Chapman College receiving a Counselor Specialist Certificate with emphasis on drugs and alcohol. He was an informed and well educated man. Gary performed advanced and basic life support skills and was a national registered emergency medical technician, respiratory technician, and pre-evaluation in triage patient care application. He also operated emergency vehicles and patient care equipment such as EKG’s and positive-assisted pressure ventilators. Gary served 3 years in the US Army. He enjoyed flying planes for pleasure, boating, and animals. Gary was also well traveled. His faith in God was adamant. For those who wish to pay their respects, a viewing will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 30, 2008 with the funeral service beginning at 2:30 p.m. at the Masonic Center, 455 North St. SE, Tumwater.
