Obituary of Inge Collins

Inge Collins Inge Collins, born in Nürnberg, Germany, passed away on January 8, 2012, at the age of 84. Inge worked as a civilian employee for the U.S. Military in Germany where she met the love of her life, Robert Collins. Following their marriage, they moved to western Kansas to farm and begin their family. In 1960, Robert began his studies in Veterinary medicine and Inge worked for the Farm Bureau Insurance Company to help support the family. After graduation, they moved to Washington State where they made their home in Tumwater, and Inge became a fulltime homemaker. Inge was a kind and patient woman who loved her family. Her love of animals always seemed to draw them to her. She was an avid reader who also enjoyed gardening. Each year she looked forward to the return of the hummingbirds and made sure their feeder was always full. Inge was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be greatly missed by those who loved her. She is survived by her son, Steve Collins of Phoenix, Arizona; daughter, Christine (Tony) Tribe of Olympia; granddaughters, Erica (Brian) Hansen, April Wollen, Addie Tribe, and Julie Tribe; great-grandsons, Gunnar Hansen and Giovanni Frank; and numerous nieces and nephews. Inge was preceded in death by her husband, Robert. The family would like to thank the staff at Clare Bridge of Olympia, Dr. Lee Antles, and the 5th floor staff at Providence St. Peter Hospital for their care and support of Inge.
