All though I was only able to spend a short while with you dad it was quality time. I felt that you were very content to have had spent the time that we spent together. You have a wonderful wife and very nice family. I have enjoyed getting to know all of them and now I have a much larger family. You raised your kids well. I will miss you more than you could ever think. You gave me closer something that I needed for a long time in my life. I only wish that in my recent trip that my boys could have met you. One day we will all be together again. When I arrived at your house Ginny and everyone made us feel like family, I needed that. Thanks Dad for all you were to me.

When I think of my Uncle Doug I think back to when I used to visit Uncle Doug and Aunt Ginny at their old house. I remember when I was growing up and I would often get to come over during the summer and on vacations. I will always cherish my memories with him, especially those of my childhood and growing up. Although I didn't my Uncle as often as I wished I will miss him very much. I know he's watching over all of us and that we will again meet in heaven. My loving thoughts and prayers are with Aunt Ginny and family.

My children Tyler and Cody are Doug's grandchildren. Doug is very special to us. We will cherish the fond memories he has given us and he will be greatly missed. Tyler especially will miss the elk hunting trips with his grandpa. Cody will miss all the time camping and going to the ocean with him. My thoughts are with all of you in this hard time and hope you can find peace in knowing that Doug will always be watching over you. Love, Kristie

My loving thoughts about you, my brother, go back to the nite you were born at our grandma's house. You were so beautiful and little that I wanted to hold you in my arms, but mom wouldn't let me.
You were my shadow and wanted to be with me all the time.
The night mother died, it was you that called my name and woke me up. Although, when I went to check on you, you were still asleep, and I checked on mom, she had passed away.
From then on, we were closely united, and although I could tell a story book of stories good and bad, of the things we went thru, my memories will always be of that boy who clung to me, your sister.
I loved you in life, and will love you in m memory, and God willing, will once again love you in heaven. So goodbye for now, love your sister "babe" as you always used to call me when you were young.

I stood next to Doug for our sophomore class picture in the 1960 N. Thurston annual. I new Doug since Lacey Grade School. He was always "Mr. Cool" and to my knowledge, never caused any trouble. I have always considered him as a friend. I trust that he has lived a full and rewarding life. I will miss him.

Doug was my father-in-law who I admired, respected and loved. He was a wonderful grandfather to my two boys, Connor and Tanner. I hope that my oldest son Connor will remember all of the great times spent with his grandpa, trips to the ocean, camping, fishing and getting spoiled rotten when he stayed at his house. My youngest son Tanner only had the pleasure to know his grandpa for 10 months, everytime he would see him, he would stare at him with a great big smile. He will learn about his grandpa through all of our memories. I will miss you very much Doug, I love you and take comfort in knowing that you will look out for my family and I just as you did when you were here with us. I look forward to seeing you again when my time comes.

Doug and I grew up together in Lacey. Both of us lived on 13th Ave and would be together almost everyday. I enjoyed frequent trips to his Fathers cabin on Mason Lake where Doug and I would spend time in the woods, fishing and exploring. I want to extend my condolences to his Wife and family. Doug will always live in my memory and I will miss him.

I only knew Doug for one year, when we both were in the 4th grade at the old Lacey School. We were best friends at the time. I moved a way and lost contact with him. but I remember him fondly through out the years. May he rest in peace. At this time I would like to send my condolences to his wife and family.
