Obituary of Bud Chamberlain

Bud Chamberlain Bud Chamberlain passed away March 7, 2012 in Olympia, Washington at the age of 88. He was born February 3, 1924 to Robert and Bertha Chamberlain in Centralia, Washington. After young childhood in Tenino, he graduated from Olympia High School in 1942. He put down roots in Olympia and lived there for more than 65 years. Bud married Dorothy Hess May 30, 1947 in Olympia. He was a mechanic and owner of B&E Auto Clinic of Olympia until retirement. He was a former member of the Olympia Lions Club and also was concerned with preserving wildlife and their habitats. Bud loved life. He enjoyed the outdoors, including boating, fishing, hunting, growing fruits and veggies, music, reading, traveling, and telling stories. He especially loved spending time with family and friends. He gave his children the gift of his time, and showed them the beauty of nature. Through his actions, he also taught them love of family, loyalty, responsibility, respect, and commitment. He fought until the end. Bud is survived by his wife, Dorothy; son, Gary (Debra) Chamberlain; daughter, Laurel (Mike) Juhl; brother, Robert (Margaret) Chamberlain; sisters, Edith (Marvin) Cobb and Jesse Chamberlain; four grandchildren; three step grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Jeremiah and Annie Godfrey; brother, Jerry Chamberlain; sisters, Carol Bush and Roberta (Russ) Ojard; and grandson, Steven Chamberlain.
