So many memories of a warm, gentle man. I didn't learn of Bill's passing until just today but wanted to pass on my condolences to Jackie, Skip, Pam and Stacy. Hopefully Bill's sharing a beer at the racetrack with Wendy as they boast over who has the fastest car:) Tumwater Tilly remembers him with love.

Oh Dad you were such a good, good man and it has been the greatest gift to have had you as my father. You set so many fine examples and taught us all so much, there simply could never be enough words.
You are the yard stick by which I measure all men, and I thank you for setting the bar so high.
My Daddy, I will miss you so...
I love you forever,
Your Moochie

Bill's legacy is a family and friends that loved him!
I was very fortunate to have had the opportunity to have this man listen to me as a teenager. I still remember the talks because I could not believe that a dad-like person thought I was important enough to listen to. He made an incredible difference in my life and today, I mentor a young man who I believe benefits from Bill's compassion.
I am so thankful for the relationship between our families.

My Mom and I want you to know we are so sorry for your loss. My Mom knew your Dad while growing up. I went to school with several of you also. We all lived and some of us still live on "the Hill" We hope and pray your time with Bill was wonderful, and that you will see him again, in God's house.

Jackie & Everyone in the Bunce Family: I have fond memories of coming over to visit when I was a kid. What always amazed me about Bill and my dad (Bill) was the way they saw the world and "talked the same language." I must have been 5 or 6 when we came over and Bill showed my dad one of the first pop-top beer cans as they chatted out in the garage. That short conversation lead to other things, but those two together were something special. If the question, "how many paperback books can one read?" both Bill's would surely answer, "not enough." I know my dad will miss your Bill tremendously. In turn, so will I. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Jackie & family,
Our prayers to all of you in your time of sorrow.
What a wonderful fella Bill was, he will be greatly missed.
I knew him for only 4 short years, and he was my friend.
I will miss the phone calls asking "Is this a good flying day?"
Such and kind and gentle soul.
Our deepest sympathy.

My father will always hold a very special place in my heart. Not just because he's my father, but because of the wonderful, warm, and caring person he was. His positive influence and the intelligence he shared has been with me my whole life. The fact that he taught me so, so many things and included me in most of his adventures, projects, and friendships makes it very easy to regard him as one of the truly great human beings I could ever know. I'll always love him, always miss him, and forever remember him.
