Obituary of Corrine Bullpitt

Rose Corrine Bullpitt, (Corky) age 88 passed away August 8, 2009 after suffering a stroke. Corrine was born in LaJunta, CO on July 7, 1921. She traveled from LaJunta to Olympia in 1934 with her family in a model A Ford. Corrine is survived by her husband Vern; daughter Lyn; granddaughter, Kristin Rhodes and her husband Craig; granddaughter, Corinn Wohl and her husband Shane. Corrine also has 7 great grandchildren. She is also survived by sister, Christine Jones and sister-in-law Hazel Bullpitt and brothers-in-law Howard and Norman Bullpitt and their wives Dorna and Sue. Corrine worked several years for the State of Washington but spent the majority of her life caring for her family. She and Vern spent many winters in Yuma AZ where they enjoyed golfing together and spending time Vern's brother and sister-in-law. Corrine and Vern also enjoyed socializing with friends, co-workers and family. One of their favorite memories was their trip around the United States with Corrine's sister Chris and her husband. Corrine was a life long member of the First Christian Church where she taught Sunday School and was an active participant of the Christian Women's Fellowship. A service will be held Friday, August 14, 11:00 am at the First Christian Church. A small lunch reception will follow.
