Obituary of Christopher A. Buchanan

Christopher A. Buchanan, a resident of Rochester, formerly of Shelton, passed away of Lou Gehrig’s Disease (ALS) September 30, 2005 at St. Peter Hospital in Olympia.Christopher was born May 05, 1962 in Shelton, Washington to John A. and Janet (Vogine) Buchanan. He attended school in Shelton. Christopher worked at Mutual Materials since 1992. He held the position of Production Supervisor, when he left in 2001, due to his illness. Christopher first married Nancy Archer and they divorced in 1988, but remained friends throughout his life. He divorced his second wife Wendy Burnt in 2000. Christopher’s number one passion was his three children, next to that was fishing – he lived for steelhead season. He also was an avid hunter, camper, and loved riding his Harley. He was a member of the Harley Davidson Club and was very fond of the members of his MDA Support Group. He was also a member of the Baptist Faith. Chris is survived by his children Joshua M. Buchanan of Olympia, WA, Jacob A. Buchanan of Rochester, WA and Adrianne P. Buchanan of Rochester, WA; his parents John Buchanan of Shelton, WA and Janet Brown of Reno, Nevada; 1 sister Sally Buchanan of Shelton, WA; a half sister Caprice Dyson of Montana; a half brother Ray Dyson of Montana. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. No Memorial Service is planned. A private scattering ceremony will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
