The service for Shirley was absolutely beautiful. What an amazing woman. I learned so much about her. I was looking thru my night stand a few days ago and found the little book that Shirley gave us as a wedding gift. She wrote a really nice note inside. The book is short & sweet. It includes lots of poems and short inserts on marriage and love. Such a thoughtful gift...:) We'll see her again in heaven!

I remember Shirley as Family. When I was in her presence, she was warm, friendly, accepting, loving, happy, smiling and interested in my life. She was the finest example of a Godly woman who loved the Lord and served him unconditionally with Grace and holy respect. She loved her Children and Grandchildren and was always interested in their lives and activities. I truly loved Shirley and the motherly love she extended it me. She looked forward to being in the presence of the Lord! And she is!

We're sure gonna miss that wonderful beautiful lady. I lost both of my Grandmothers many years ago, so was truly blessed and happy , in so many ways, when I married Cathy Yunker and in the deal got a "DOOZY" of a gramma......Shirley !!!!!!
My wife , Cathy, and I have 4 kids and they all loved thier ( Great)Gramma-Shirley. She never forgot a special occasion for anyone and tried to attend as many activities of the Great- Grandkids as possible. She was kinda known as the BOOK GRANDMA because that was her gift of choice to give. I'm sure that she was a top receiver of frequent buyer points at the local Christian book stores, and praise God for that !!!!
Shirley's really gonna be missed by me and mine but I know she's dancing in Heaven and I look forward to the day we'll meet again in the presence of our Lord..........
PS: Does anyone have the recipe for her Ham Sauce
That stuff is great on anything !!!!!
Love you Shirley..............
