Just a few words to say "rest in peace, brother." We miss you and I still can't get used to you not being here with us. Visit us in spirit at our new home near Porter Creek. The campground there was always a special place for our family. Tony and I think about you a lot and so do all your friends and family. God bless each and every one. You were a treasure to us. Brooker, Brooker, Brooker,.... We can still hear your voice..."Hey Harv",and "give me hug Patti..I love ya" (and of course our girls would answer your call to "HEY Squirt!") We really "tore it up" back in the day didn't we?? Last time I saw you , you were walking across the street from my office (New Directions) and I heard a whistle and there you were waving at me....that is how I'll remember you, the friendly smile and wave... that was your last gift to me. I believe that is how most will remember you...kind hearted and always friendly. Harv and I loved you and we will always stand by your "Girls" in good times and in bad. Harv loves his baby sister, we all do. I know you are watching from a distance...Peace Brooker

It isn't getting any easier. I thought by now I'd be able to move on and accept that you are in a better place, but it's not working. Right now it seems like there are not enough kleenex in this world to dry our eyes. You left us so suddenly and we weren't ready. We're counting on you to do the angel thing, I'm sure you're taking care of us from heaven just like you did here. Can't help but miss you, Brooker.
Your sis,
Susie

If not, you have one started by now. The two things I remember most are HillBilly Hair and your wonderful gardens. we will all miss you so very much until we meet again. HOO HOO HUH HOO

Growing up in Napavine in the '60's & '70's, the friendships that were formed and the bonding between all of us, has always remained strong.
Dennis was a life long friend and leaves us all with wonderful memories to hold on to. His smile that was contagious, his outgoing personality and that long blonde hair. The last time I saw Dennis was at my nephew Dean's "celebration of life" service. Dennis and Diane were there to give my family comfort and support.
Dennis, you will live on forever in our hearts and will be greatly missed!
My thoughts and prayers go out to Diane & Amy and all the Brooks family and friends. I love you guys!

I told Susie the other day that although I haven't seen Dennis in awhile, I already miss him. I've known Dennis for about 25 years, give or take. I have many fond memories of Dennis. He would call me "little sister" and piss me off. Or, he would call me "red"...I wasn't sure if he called me that because my hair is kind of red or because I would get red in the face when he called me little sister. His passing saddens me and my heart goes out to Diane, Amy, and all of his siblings and friends.

I am sorry to hear of Dennis' passing. I grew up and was good friends throughout high school with Dennis and his brother, Bob. Consequently, we all spent some "good times" and "not so good times" together through the 60's and early 70's until God's destiny took us all in different directions. It's been some time now since I have seen either Bob or Dennis, but I still hold to many precious memories. I am sure Dennis' departure from this life will leave a huge hole and many unanwered questions, but I encourage you (his family and friends) to embrace the time God gave you together with Dennis. Over the years I have learned Who to turn to when life doesn't make much sense. God's Son, Jesus, will help comfort you if you will simply invite Him to. Please know I will keep you all in my prayers.

Brooker, you left us all too soon. Our memories together will last forever. When ever I saw you I always thought of Willy Nelson with a haircut. Now when I hear ole' Willy my thoughts of your fun loving stories around a bon fire bring a smile to my face. Jefferson misses you deeply, and the boys will always remember your unique way of teaching them the ways of life.

To our little buddie, We've been friends for so long, but not long enough, we are not ready to say good-by, we have so many things yet to do and say, we miss you already! To the Brooks family, we want to say we're sorry. We all grew up together, and we are glad we had the Brooks family as our friends. we're sorry that we will be out of state on Saturday, but know Dennis would understand that we are going to spend time with our Son and grandchildren, (Grandchildren, we can't be that old?) There are so many stories to share, but for now, I will end this the way the last messeage from Dennis on our answering machine did, Love Ya.

Oh Brooker, I guess you don't think of all the good untill the good is gone? The good is what is stuck with me, The times we shared, you taught me the most silly things, Iike any acronym, to not call anyone, any animal by their real name, you taught a selected few what a "Hillbilly call" was:) but you always showed by actions, not words how you loved us. You taught me how to camp, berry & mushroom pickin , rock hound, clam dig, nature and adventure, how to love animals, you showed me how to be unique...silly..creative..myself with out caring what anyone else thought. You were awesome to my kids and they miss you and your funny little antics, words and remarks. We will have to keep the moter bikes going, they loved that, No Buster will keep shooting your b b gun(he might use the sights) and "Smiley" will keep on smiling, and most importantly Bryon and I will always take care of "YOUR GIRLS" This is Gods plan, God put you in our lives to make them the way they are today and forever, and I am who I am because you were in my life. The most important thing that God wants from us is to show LOVE, and Brooker...You knew how to show love.
I Love you.

Uncle Brooker, I loved you so much!!!!!!! I am sad at all of the things to come that I won't get to learn from you, You always knew the name of every wildflower that we picked, every kind of rock by name, and every mushroom, good and bad. You tought me gardening tips, and so much more, everytime we left you I had learned something else about nature,ect... We will camp again, but it will never be the same without you. The endless trails, waterfalls, and fish ponds. Its not going to be the same. You were LOVED by many, and will stay in my thoughts and prayers.I'll be waiting to hear you return the "HillBilly" call When we give it!!!! And don't worry about "your girls" they Will be safe with all of us.Love you !!!!!!! Gayle P.S. I guess I will have to figure out what a clam hole looks like since I won't have you to circle the for me.
