Bobbie Bouge

Obituary of Bobbie Bouge

Bobbie passed away at home on the evening of Thursday, January 28, 2010. His family surrounded him and embraced him in love, even as he drew his last breath.Born on March 21, 1933 to Nathan and Jessie Bouge in St. Joseph, MO., Bobbie married his life mate, Gerda, on October 26, 1954. He and Gerda were married 55 years and have 5 children, 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Any that were blessed to know Bobbie, knew him as a kind, giving and gentle soul who loved his family and friends. Always a bit of a prankster, he truly enjoyed making others laugh. Bobbie enjoyed the simple things in life; fishing; barbeques and gazing upon the stars at night. He took great pleasure in traveling and camping, taking in the beauty that God’s earth holds. It is these little things that bring a smile to the hearts of his family. Reminiscing with great fondness family drives on Sunday afternoons when he would sing songs from his childhood as he drove. Family Gatherings at Shakeys, watching old Laurel and Hardy movies were a frequent family outing, and are treasured memories for his family. Bobbie discovered Jehovah's Word later in life and took great pleasure in reading and studying the scriptures and discussing Jehovah's Promise with family and friends. We have been truly blessed in having shared our lives with such a loving, sharing and gentle man. He will be forever missed, always loved, and hold a special place in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him. Bobbie is survived by his wife, Gerda; children, Diana, Susan, Linda, Kurt, Patrick, and Mark; sister Pat; grandchildren, Jason, Kaplan, Tiffany, Jennifer, Jessie, Jesse and Rachel; great grandchildren, Baylee, Peyton, Everley, Violet and Clover; many nieces and nephews; and his best friend Barry Morris. “Although his time was far too short for those that loved him dearly, we are thankful for the time we shared with this gentle man and will hold him tightly in our hearts until the time that we will once again be with our loved one.” You may leave memories and condolences for the family by clicking on "View Guestbook" below.
