Obituary of Johnny Black

Johnny Black Johnny Black passed away from natural causes March 4, 2009. He lived 10 years in Matlock; 38 years total in Washington including Seattle. He attended Richmond High in Richmond, Indiana. He married Linda Kay Benge on June 16, 1970 in Orange, California. Johnny joined the United Stated Army on June 1, 1966 and was stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia. He worked 22 years as a bench mechanic for the Boeing Company. Among his hobbies and interest were woodworking/crafts and yard work. He held membership as a school bus driver and with the Parent Teacher Organization, both at Mary M. Knight; the Disabled American Veterans, and AARP. Including his wife, Linda Kay Black of Matlock, Johnny is survived by sons, Johnathan Dale Black and Jeremy Alan Black of Seattle; grandchildren, Kristina Nicole Black of Matlock, WA & Dylan Robert Black of Seattle; brothers, Henry, Michael, and Robby Black; sisters, Janice O'Conner, Patricia Jordan, and Kathy Pothier. Johnny was preceded in death by his father and mother, John W. and Mattie E. Black; sister, Linda S. Smith; brothers, Mark & Teddy Black. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March, 15, 2009 at Mary M. Knight School Gym, W. 2987 Matlock Brady Rd, Elma, WA 98541 Memorial Donations suggested to Mary M.
